16th MayWe Pacific islanders come in a variety of different colors, sizes and shapes. Just because someone doesn’t fit the into the stereotypical look of a Polynesian, Melanesian or Micronesian is no reason to discount their experiences as a Pacific Islander - from the blonde haired, light eyed and freckled half casts out there to the caramel colored polys to the Melanesian’s who richness in skin tone is surpassed only by the richness of their culture.
We all have something to offer and if you take the time to listen, it will be the ones you least expect who might teach you a thing or two. Though our faces and languages may be different we all share one thing in common - the Pacific is our home <3This!
